The haul for this month took an interesting turn. For starters, I focused solely on getting a bunch of PlayStation 4 games and then out of nowhere a bunch of my anime pre-orders arrived earlier than expected. Either way, we have a mixture of games that I wanted to get sooner before it was too late and a variety of anime I wanted to own for various reasons.
For this update, we have 6 video games and 6 anime titles.
#01 | Blue Reflection and The Witch And The Hundred Knight
The first batch of titles for the month is a trip to GAME because for some reason they have been pretty good in terms of getting the games that I want for the collection at a decent price offering. In this instance, I found Blue Reflection, a JRPG from developer Gust which I found out not long after has actually become rarer to find in a retail form so getting it as part of the 2 for £30 offering was a bargain. I also found The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival Edition, a PS4 remaster of the PS3 game from Nippon Ichi Software and its been on my interest for a while.
#02 | Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days’ Time
At this point I felt that a lot of the anime I had on order was coming at the end of the month and considering I just finished watching the second season of Assassination Classroom, I decided to pick up the film which is a recap but has some new anime original epilogue content.

#03 | Fate/Extella Link and Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
And once again I went back to GAME (on the same day I picked up the Assassination Classroom film) to find some more games from the 2 for £30 sale. The last time I went I actually did spot a copy of Fate/Extella Link in the deal and I figured that I may as well pick it up when I can, but the issue is what the second game in the deal I should pick up also. Thankfully the second game to choose was sorted the moment I looked at the section because Tales of Vesperia was there and I just couldn’t say no.
#04 | WORLDEND SYNDROME
Thanks to a fellow friend on the internet, I was notified that WORLDEND SYNDROME’s Day One Edition was available for less than £15 on one of the sites. I immediately went for it, but I was concerned given that the lower case could have indicated that it may have been a regular release and not the Day One Edition, but thankfully it’s the right version. I hope to acquire a few more PQube Day One Edition sets before the year is over.

#05 | Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Season 1
One of many titles that shipped pretty early. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 was scheduled for mid-November and it arrived mid-October. Either way, I was happy to receive it but my copy did arrive later because I ordered it just before the early bird offer had concluded. I want to keep the consistency going so I, of course, had to get it as soon as I could. I’ll wait until I have Season 2 before I begin watching the series.

#06 | Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise
So Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise was a title that I wasn’t too sure when I would begin purchasing the game. The SEGA titles tend to go up and down in pricing and while it was initially available for a solid bargain on Amazon US, by the time that I had more money on my plate the offer was gone but fortunately there was a copy available in GAME for around £22.99 and I figured I may as well get it now considering it’s getting rarer to acquire in general. It’s basically a Yakuza game so I can’t say no the price.
#07 | Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
One of the first anime films I watched when I started getting into anime back in 2012, it took a long time to finally own the film but that was because it only recently got released on Blu-ray in the UK and Anime Limited shipped their copies early. The Blu-ray release is based on the Discotek Media version so it’s the best of both worlds if you ask me.

#08 | OVERLORD III
So despite getting the UK versions for both OVERLORD and OVERLORD II, Manga Entertainment decided not to bother with OVERLORD III’s limited edition due to poor sales (though in my opinion, the fault was them placing it on Zavvi which was poor decision making). Thus I had to import the set from the US, and it’s a nice set to match the other seasons.

#09 | Goblin Slayer
Another title that was shipped earlier than usual. Goblin Slayer’s limited edition is similar to how OVERLORD II was handled but honestly, the US artwork for the Blu-ray case wasn’t my cup of tea so I wasn’t that disappointed. The actual set itself is very nice and it’s surprisingly sold out already across multiple retailers. The set was supposed to come out early November so having it arrive a week early is neat I suppose.

#10 | Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Part 2
And finally, the final item of the month was once again another early arrival, only in this case not only did I randomly see it appear in my post box but the set was supposed to come out in late November. Either way, I now own the whole of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing which is a nice treat to have.

Additional Notes
That’s every item I received during the month of October.
In terms of upcoming pre-orders, you can expect the Funimation release for How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and the Anime Limited release for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion II: Transgression over the course of early November to early December window. The former is a pre-order via United Publications while the latter is an early bird order via Anime Limited’s website. In addition, I’ve also put an order on for more Monogatari Aniplex sets; Kizumonogatari Part 3: Reiketsu and Tsukimonogatari: Yotsugi Doll. Better late than never.
So Manga Entertainment has revealed their Q1 2020 release slate and I’m waiting on confirmations over what titles will get the limited edition treatment carried over to the UK before I pre-order any of the early 2020 titles. In the meantime, I have yet to decide on what to get for November at this rate.
There is, of course, the upcoming Black Friday sales and Christmas sales but those will depend on the offerings and how much money spare I’ll have left by then.
