Funimation pushed back a couple of their titles from the April slate into this month, and Sentai continues to keep the pace going. For this post, I’ll be rounding up all of the new releases between these two distributors for the month of May 2020.
Each title has been color-coded to represent which distributor they belong to:
- Orange – Crunchyroll license, but distributed by Funimation
- Purple – Funimation license
- Blue – Sentai Filmworks license (includes any Maiden Japan licenses etc.)

Sentai Filmworks’ Sunrise haul has been in limbo for years and yet the only one that had survived was The Big O. So far in Japan Sunrise have released Betterman, The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Infinite Ryvius, Kurokami: The Animation, Overman King Gainer, s-CRY-ed, Sacred Seven, and Zegapain on Blu-ray. The ones that currently don’t have one are Argentosoma, Brain Powered, and Z-MIND.
