It was eventually going to happen and it did. My Hero Academia‘s popularity has reached the point where we are now witnessing theatrical films for the series. Much like the other shonen films of the past, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is also non-canon but does reference events that took place in the canon story. For instance, the film is set in-between Season 2 (Final Exams arc) and Season 3 (Forest Training Camp Arc).

Licensing-wise, North American distributor Funimation have the UK, IE, US & CA rights for the film, provided an English dub as well as both theatrical and home video releases.
