Armed Girl’s Machiavellism (Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism) is a 2017 anime series based on the manga series written by Yuya Kurokami and illustrated by Karuna Kanzaki. The anime was adapted by both Silver Link and Connect, and published by Kadokawa Pictures. The series aired during the Spring 2017 anime season in April.
This series was one of the small bunch of titles from Sentai Filmworks to be given a collector’s edition release and an English dub over in the United States. UK distributor MVM Entertainment brought the series over to the UK with their version of Sentai’s collector’s edition. In addition as Sentai are no longer adding DVDs to their new titles, MVM’s release will be Blu-ray only as well.
Note: Due to the artwork presented this unboxing is declared ‘Not Safe For Work‘ so readers advised.
The main differences between the UK & US versions of the collector’s edition are that MVM uses the standard UK Amaray case which features artwork based on the Australian release, while the stickers that were included in the US set are not featured here.
Released in February 2019, Armed Girl’s Machiavellism from MVM Entertainment contains the entire series (episodes 1-12) across two Blu-ray discs. Audio options available include the main Japanese language with English subtitles and the Sentai Filmworks English Dub. The discs are region compatible with A & B territories, and the yellow subtitles are locked during playback.
Armed Girl’s Machiavellism is available to order in both collector’s edition and standard edition Blu-ray sets over on Amazon UK.

Plot Synopsis (via MVM Entertainment):
“When Aichi Coexistence Academy converted from all-girls to a coed model, the female students were so concerned about male misbehaviour that they armed themselves! Now the school is ruled by the lovely but lethal Supreme Five Swords, and the boy students are forced to dress and act like girls or suffer the razor sharp points of the Swords’ anger. But for new transfer student Fudo Nomura, this goes against the policy of personal freedom that he holds dear. He might just have the martial arts chops and rapier wit needed to slash through the Swords’ defences, but can he tame their fiery hearts enough to regain his independence?! It’s a whole new kind of slice of life High School Drama, extra heavy on the “slice”, as one Bad Boy meets some very Dicey Girls.”
