In Another World With My Smartphone (Limited Edition Blu-ray & DVD) Unboxing

In Another World With My Smartphone (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.) is a 2017 anime based on the light novel series written by Patora Fuyuhara and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka. The anime was adapted by studio Production Reed and published by TV TOKYO.

This is an Isekai series following a protagonist ending up in a different fantasy world full of characters who have an interest in him. Pretty much the same sort of plot used in every anime series, but regardless it has their own charms and fans alike.

Crunchyroll acquired the rights to the series during its simulcast and partnered with Funimation for both an English dub and home video release. The home video release was one of the few by Funimation to be given a limited edition release during that season, which baffled many. The limited edition release follows a recent model change that differs from the older sets that Funimation used to provide, now consisting of a single Blu-ray case and a booklet in a rigid box plus an added box for any extras.

Released in July 2018, In Another World With My Smartphone from Funimation contains the entire 12 episode series across two Blu-ray discs and two DVD discs. The audio options available include the main Japanese language with English subtitles and an English dub, with the subtitles on Blu-ray locked during playback. The regions for these discs are A & B for Blu-ray (essentially playable for UK, Europe & Australia) and 1 for DVD.

The limited edition is available to order on Amazon US. A re-release under the Essentials range is also available.
