The Testament of Sister New Devil (Collector’s Edition Blu-ray) Unboxing [NSFW]

In recent years we have seen more and more harem ecchi titles get adapted into anime form, and Crunchyroll eventually released the first season of this particular series through Funimation. Eventually Anime Limited acquired the UK & IE rights for home video to the surprise of many.

The Testament of Sister New Devil (Shinmai Maou no Testament) is an anime series from studio Production IMS and publisher Kadokawa. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Tetsuto Uesu. This is the first season of the anime series that aired in January 2015.

This is one of the more raunchy titles to be adapted and has been released on home video completely uncut and uncensored for the English territories. For the UK it has been released with an 18 rating uncut/uncensored without any issues. The ecchi-ness that is shown in this series is considered borderline hentai for the most part.

The collector’s edition release contains the first season on Blu-ray across 2 discs. There are 12 episodes and an OVA included, with English & Japanese audio with English subtitles provided. The subtitles are locked during playback and the discs are Region B only. Included with the collector’s edition set is the traditional Anime Ltd style packaging with a rigid box and digipack as well as an uncensored ecchi artbook, the same version used for the Funimation release.

Plot Synopsis (via Anime Limited):

When a pair of sexy girls, Maria and Mio, come to live with high school student Basara Tojo, his life changes forever. The two girls have a secret that they don’t keep for long – Maria is a succubus, and Mio is a future Demon Lord. But Basara has a secret of his own – he’s the last descendant from a clan of demon-fighting heroes.

To make things even more complicated, the girls force Basara into a master-servant contract, and Basara ends up becoming their master!
