With the Christmas sales and hauls on the horizon, I decided to take a step back and focus on fewer items for the November batch but in return, we have a few big titles arriving!
For this update, we have 2 video games and 5 anime titles.
Note: This collection haul update has been updated on 7th January 2024 to be consistent with the current layout of the write-ups but also amend some visual inconsistencies. Everything written has been preserved with some minor spelling corrections, so you can see the journey from back then to the present.

Our World Is Ended
The first item of the month was from a special bargain price on Amazon. Back in October, I picked up WORLDEND SYNDROME and since then I had wanted to grab a few more of the PQube published limited edition sets to match them and thankfully I waited long enough to get the visual novel game Our World Is Ended for a low price.

Punch Line
At the same time as getting Our World Is Ended, I was notified by a friend that there were some copies of the adventure visual novel Punch Line available on eBay and I decided to order it then rather than wait for Black Friday. Good thing that I did because it never went on sale for Black Friday lol.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord
One of the pre-orders I placed back in early October was How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. I’ve watched the show back when it had simulcasted and liked it enough to go for the limited edition release when Funimation had announced it. While Manga are bringing the series over to the UK I kept my pre-order because it’s not the type of show that Manga would bring the LE over for, and I am quite pleased with how this set has been presented. The booklet is short but good enough.

Kizumonogatari Part 3: Reiketsu and Tsukimonogatari
It’s been a long while since I had last ordered a Monogatari release from Aniplex, and with Unlimited Blade Works out of the way the next oldest set that I needed to get was Tsukimonogatari and alongside it I also picked up (finally) the third and final film in the trilogy with Kizumonogatari Part 3: Reiketsu. Hoping to get the remainder of the Monogatari series: Final Season arcs in 2020 to keep the franchise up-to-date.

Wanna Be the Strongest in the World
Next is pretty much the only title I have bought from the sales so far. Rightstuf held their “pre-holiday” offerings and their second batch covered Funimation limited edition sets. One of them was, in fact, this particular series Wanna Be the Strongest in the World for $20 so I picked it up. It did get hit by customs but it arrived in mostly new condition (some minor dents).

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Season 2
The second half of the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series is scheduled for UK release in mid-December and to my surprise, it arrived on the very last day of November so it joins the November collection update. In other words, all that’s left now is Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie & Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Special Edition and Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin V-VI in the 40th Anniversary Anime Limited release schedule.

Bonus: 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays!
So there’s another factor on why I didn’t buy much anime or games this month. I decided to pick up some more films for my 4K Ultra HD collection as I hadn’t done that in a while (outside of Shadow which I bought as it was via a special offer).
Four of these films were bought at HMV’s Buy 2 for £30 offer, while The Shining was a relatively new release on the format so it was picked up at £19.99. Regardless I bought these for a number of reasons.
Baby Driver had been on my watch list for years so I figured I should check it out sooner than later and it’s very good. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle I actually shrugged off when I first heard about it but with the sequel coming soon I figured I should get it, and to my surprise, it’s really fun to watch. Rocketman is a Christmas present for my Mum and it’s a really good film (I watched it at the cinema). The Shining is a classic that I never had the chance to watch and with Doctor Sleep at the cinema, I decided now would be the time to watch both of these films. I loved them both. And you can’t have a complete haul without picking up the excellent Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Additional Notes
That’s every item I received during the month of November.
Currently, the only title that I have on order is the Anime Limited release for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion II: Transgression, which is still on-target for mid-December last I checked. There will be a 12 Days of Christmas sale going on for the first half of the month so I intend to try and grab a few anime from that if I can.
And of course, we have the Christmas haul. I do have a few items planned, Raging Loop and YU-NO visual novels being among the batch, but the anime portion depends on the 12 Days of Christmas sale as well.
