One of the many anime acquired during the Anime Limited 12 Days of Christmas sale. This one ended up in the wrong format so it had to be re-ordered via Zavvi so it arrived faster than AL’s own sale.

SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist (Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai) is a 2015 anime series animated by studio J.C.Staff and published by King Records Company Ltd. The anime is based on the light novel series written by Hirotaka Akagi and illustrated by Eight Shimotsuki.
The anime was one of the bigger titles that people were watching during the Summer 2015 season, which Funimation also dubbed and released onto home video. As Funimation have the UK & Ireland rights also, they distributed the series in the UK under their name similarly to No-Rin and OVERLORD. The series is also one of the few anime released with an 18 rating uncut and uncensored for its sexual themes.
The Funimation UK release contains the complete series (episodes 1 to 12) across two Blu-ray discs. The audio options available include the original Japanese audio with English subtitles and the English dub. The discs themselves are the same as the Funimation US version, with the subtitles being locked during playback. The Blu-ray regions are compatible with both A & B players.

Plot Synopsis (via Funimation):

Tanukichi Okuma is the son of an imprisoned ero-terrorist. Rather than following in his father’s footsteps, he plans to stay on the track of morality and wholesomeness.
